Objective: To advance strategic, ethical, and innovative integration of technology in business management for sustainable competitive advantage.
The two-day International Research Conference commenced with an inaugural session and a welcome address delivered by Dr. Purshottam Patil, Director, SVIMS. The first day featured distinguished deliberations by eminent speakers. Mr. Rajagopala Deputy General Manager, Karnataka Bank Ltd,, the Special Invitee, provided insightful perspectives on the banking sector and the transformative impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI). This was followed by Dr. Michele Sagan (CEO, Optimal Insight, Malaysia), who emphasized the proactive and advanced applications of AI in business practices. Subsequently, the Guest of Honour, Dr. Rosana Reis (ISG Paris), highlighted the role of AI in shaping organizational work culture.These sessions collectively attracted more than 100 participants, both in online and offline modes. The conference also received over 50 research paper submissions from diverse geographical locations, including Germany, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, and Assam.
On the second day, registered participants presented their research papers across designated thematic tracks. The presentations were systematically evaluated using a structured research matrix by external session chairs, ensuring academic rigor and fairness.
The conference concluded with the announcement of the Best Paper Award, followed by a formal vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Vishwanath Malji, Associate Professor, SVIMS. The event successfully fostered scholarly exchange, interdisciplinary dialogue, and critical engagement with emerging trends in technology-driven business management. Viksit Bharat International Conference 2025 Report:
Viksit Bharat International Conference 2025 was organized on 4th April, 2025. International Conference started with Sarasvati vandana, on 4th April, 2025. Chief Guest, guest of honour, Management members, director and conveners unveiled the compendium of abstracts.
Keynote speaker for this conference Prof. Dr. Mohan Lal Agarwal, Dy. Academic Dean, University of West London, UAE Campus, elaborated on importance of International careers in Gulf Cooperation Council for students. Gulf Cooperation Council includes countries like Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates. He suggested students to take up career in finance, marketing and Human Resources in these GCC Countries. He emphasized that many Indians are working in these GCC Countries. Students of finance, marketing and Human Resource Management specializations can persue their career in GCC Countries. Students can save good amount of money by doing jobs in these countries. Later he answered questions from faculties and students. Guest of honor, Mr. Sandeep Shah, Founder Chairman, World Foundation for Peace and Sustainability (WFPS), Former Special Envoy to commission for Peace at University for Peace (UPEACE), delivered address on how current world order needs sustainability initiatives to protect environment. He emphasized the need for clean environment. His foundation is proactively working with schools to create awareness among students related to environmental management. Then special guest Dr. R. K. Srivastava, Emeritus Prof & HOD Marketing & Research, N L Dalmia Institute of Management Studies, delivered address to gathering. He advised Gen Z students to come out of comfort zones. He advised students to explore the jobs away from their home and they can make careers in environmental, Social and Governance sectors. Then Prof. Dr. Vishwanath Malji delivered vote of thanks.
We have received good response for research papers from faculties and students. Finance and economics specialization research papers received were 18, Marketing and General Management research papers received were 13 and Human Resource Management, Corporate Social Responsibility and sustainability papers received were 16. On 4th April, 2025, in the second half of conference researchers presented their papers in finance, marketing and Human Resource Management, Corporate Social Responsibility & sustainability domain.
Before valedictory address first year students, Tushar Meherkhamb, Joshua Naidu, and Sanjeev Dhanawade showcased their startup named TJS Consultancy. This startup provides financial services in Mutual Funds, Portfolio Management, life insurance, health and general insurance, IPO, sovereign gold bond, fixed deposits, primary bonds and nonconvertible debentures and credit card. Then Dr. Kshemendra Roy Sharma, Leading Communications and Digital Transformation, at Tata AIA Life Insurance, delivered valedictory address. He advised students to continuously learn new things and gain new knowledge as we all are worshippers of knowledge. Then Prof. Dr. Vishwanath Malji presented vote of thanks. Conference ended with National Anthem.
Under the agies of NKES the Sir M Visvesvaraya Institute of Management Studies & Research (SVIMS), SVIMS Business School & NKEs Degree College conducted a multi disciplinary international conference – Pratisandhi, which was held on 5th April, 2024 at SVIMS, Wadala, Mumbai. The theme of the conference was “Digital transformation & Governance for an Inclusive & Sustainable Growth”.
The objective in organising such a conference was to familiarise our students in this VUCA times the current research scenario and challenges. The event started with a rendition of Saraswathi Vandana and warm welcome by the Director, Dr. Purshottam Patil, SVIMS. The esteemed Trustee Members of NKES welcomed the dignitaries of the international conference with mementos. Introduction to the theme & the conference was given by Dr. Dhanashree Potey, convener. Then Ms. Sowmya Shetty, Manager, Admissions introduced the Keynote speaker and other panellists with their career profile and contributions in their respective areas.
The session started with the Chief Guest speaker for the day Prof (Dr) Ravindra Dissanayake, Professor at the Department of Marketing Management, University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka. He spoke on “Digital Transformation and Education”. The next speaker was Prof (Dr) Srinivasan Iyengar, Director, Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies. He stated how marketing has changed in today’s digital world. Next, we had an eminent speaker from the academic world Prof (Dr) R. K. Srivastava, Emeritus Professor & HOD Marketing & Research
NL Dalmia Institute of Management Studies who shared with us “Factors which lead to publications & reasons for failure & converting the same into success paper.
The vote of thanks was given by Dr. Kavita Chakravarty, Convener. The research conference gave an opportunity to the students to present their research papers. The track chair judges selected the best three papers among faculty, corporate and students. This interaction of the students with the experts helped them know their areas of self-improvement.
The NKE Society Group of Institutions viz., Sir M Visvesvaraya Institute of Management Studies and Research (SVIMS), SVIMS Business School and NKES College of Arts, Science & Commerce had organised a two-day multi-disciplinary International Conference ‘Pratisandhi” sponsored by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), New Delhi, under the aegis of University of Mumbai and as part of the Government of India’s ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ initiative. The conference was held on April 1, 2022 and April 2, 2022 at the NKE Society’s Wadala, Mumbai campus and its theme was “Sustainable organization in technology driven era”
On the inaugural day of the conference, Dr Purshottam Patil, Director SVIMS welcomed the dignitaries and subsequently Dr Vasumathy Hariharan, Dean – Academics, SVIMS and Convenor of the Conference highlighted the relevance of the International Conference and the importance of sustainability. Mr. Anant Banwasi, Trustee, NKE Society delivered the management address, which was then followed by the inaugural address by Dr Sateesh Ojha, Regional Dean, Lincoln University, Nepal and subsequently the special address by Dr Smita Shukla, Director, ICSSR, Western Region.
Dr. Kuldeep Kumar, Professor, Bond University, Australia and Dr Sandeep Poddar, Deputy Vice Chancellor, Lincoln University, Malaysia delivered the felicitation address and enlightened the audience. Mr.Parthasarathy Naik, President, NKE Society, Mr. Shashikant Joshi and Mrs. Padmaja Banwasi- Hon. Secretaries of NKE Society, Ms. Bhavani Bhargava, Committee Member, NKE Society were also present during the occasion.
The other eminent speakers who addressed the audience were Mr Parameshwaran Iyer, Partner Consulting – Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India LLP, Ms Asha Ruth, Finance Controller, ITC Group of Hotels, Mr Sankar Raman, Sr. Vice President, Raychem RPG, CA Pradeep Godbole, Director – Risk & Compliance, The South Indian Bank Ltd., CA Hiten Kapadia, Mazars India, and Dr Koel Roychoudhury, Principal SIES College, Navi Mumbai. The vote of thanks was presented by Dr Veena Prasad, in charge Principal, NKES College of Arts, Commerce and Science.
A total of over 140 researchers from India and abroad had registered for the international conference and the compendium of abstracts was released during the conference. Over 98 research papers were presented during the conference – both in the offline and online mode. The International Conference proved to be grand success.
